THE GAME


Dead Alliance is a fast-paced, multiplayer first-person zombie shooter. Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where zombies are your weapons, you must build your squad, take strategic control of military bases and fight for survival in a world consumed by a zombie plague.

Sprung created high-fidelity wireframes for the entire menu system, investigating the most intuitive layout and valuing consistency across all interactivity. We knew it was important to create a game that felt like a dynamic, living world rather than an inactive, curated storefront.

UX to UI


Following on from the comprehensive wireframe phase, we worked with the UI team on forming a visual style. We created a series of designs inspired by the horror and zombie genre and tested contrasting ‘clean’ designs.

Collaborating with the internal team, we arrived at the best solution that suited both the style and genre of the game.

INTEGRATION


With completed wireframes and visual designs, Sprung organised the menu system using the Unreal engine. This enabled Psyops and Illfonic to seamlessly integrate the UMG widgets into their game engine.
