THE GAME


Captain Cutter and his crew face a new threat after their long cryosleep; brutal and violent, they are The Banished, a splinter group from The Covenant. With Halo Wars, developer Creative Assembly re-wrote the rule book regarding real-time strategy games and Halo Wars 2 expands the genre and the Halo universe further with its action packed and tactical gameplay modes.

WIREFRAMES


We worked collaboratively with both Creative Assembly and 343i, providing UX support for this new console based real-time strategy game. We created a collection of high-fidelity wireframes, integrating them into an interactive prototype, which then enabled us to assess how coherent and easy the menu system was to use.

UX TO UI


We worked closely with both 343 Industries and Creative Assembly to create a number of visual concepts. These varied from resembling previous Halo games, to something more bold and innovative. Following this experimental stage, the in-house team continued to evolve the style.
