SURGE DELUXE

FUTURLAB

THE GAME

You need to have quick yet steady reflexes to master FuturLab’s fast-paced puzzler Surge Deluxe. Speed and strategy are key when drawing electrical currents across to connect and destroy the coloured blocks. Each coloured block is represented by a different shape making the game 100% colour blind friendly. Improving accessibility was hugely important for the team at FuturLab, allowing the game to extend its reach and expand into a new audience.

ACCESSIBILITY

Sprung Studios have a long history of creating accessible design. In this case, we wanted to create a colour match game that colour blind players could play.

We investigated a number of shapes and colour variations worked to increase the visual sophistication of the game.
