VHS: Video Horror Squad

VHS (Video Horror Squad) is a 4v1 multiplayer action title from Hellbent Games, where you play as a group of four teens in the ’80s facing off against a famous movie monster from that era.

Sprung Studios worked with the team at Hellbent to solidify the ’80s theme through the styling of the UI and various UX optimizations. Some key aspects of the collaboration were the developments in the crafting system and the HUD.

As one of the four teenagers, you’ll need to stay alive and try and take on the monster through crafting and ancient weapons. Playing as the monster, however, lets you live the 80’s monster movie fantasy as you terrorize and take out the teenagers one by one.
